Welcome to God’s Message on the Web. My name is Greg and I want to welcome you to listen to God’s great plan of salvation for us. If you are a new listener I welcome you to study with us and learn the truth as put forth for us from the Bible itself. We do not add or take anything away from the Gospel. Nor do we follow the commandments of men when it comes to religion. The Bible is our sole guide and Jesus Christ himself in all of his Glory is the head of the Church

If you are a returning visitor I want you to know that you are part of something much bigger than any of us. You are part of a family of those in Jesus Christ who want to understand what the Bible is really saying to us, to you. What is your role in this great plan called life? Let’s find out together as we study the Bible and listen to the great plan of God. I know you’re out there. And I pray for you. I ask you to pray for this Podcast Ministry as well so we can help wrap it around the world and bring the great news of Jesus Christ to everyone we possibly can. Consider it the “spiritually no one left behind plan”

It is great to have you visiting with us today. Let’s spend a few quality minutes in Bible Study together. This world can be such a busy place. It distracts us all from the reality of what we are doing on this Earth. Try to remove all the cares of the day as we study God’s great plan of salvation for us.

If you are not a member of a Church that is Institutional rather than based on a relationship with the Father “God” or you are a member of a Church that follows the teachings of Man instead of the teachings of God I welcome you to study and learn the true path to everlasting life with us.

You need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and what he did for you. Hearing this righteous word brings the belief in Christ which is necessary for your salvation. Once you believe you must repent of your sins. Once you repent you must confess your Faith by making a public confession that Jesus Christ is the son of God. And be immersed (baptized) to receive the remission of your sins.

Ekklesia

My wife Kathy is the person who brought me to the truth about institutional church’s.

We were attending a local Pharisee owned and operated Church of Christ in Indiana. She was a second class citizen in this fundamentalist church. And didn’t want her daughter raised in that. To be honest what drove her over the edge were “the announcements”. How that brings recognition and glory to those who help with the service.

Going to this Church almost ended my Marriage as she did not want to give and either did I. I was raised Church of Christ and that had to be right “as far as I knew”.

Then the research began. We started pouring over articles at the http://www.theexaminer.org/ and started reading the Bible. It didn’t take long for the light to come on and realize that the New Testament doesn’t clearly define any church. Or how it operates or works.

Then came the realization that King James himself screwed with the translation when he ordered the word ecclesia or ekklesia if you prefer to be translated into Church. When it’s real meaning is the called
out, or assembly. Please see http://www.theexaminer.org/volume4/number1/church.htm

When Jesus said to Peter “And I say to thee. thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)”

it should read “And I say to thee. thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Assembly or called out people, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)

“The word “church” was substituted for a correct translation of the Greek word ekklesia; and that anti-scriptural word has deceived millions of unknowing, often uncaring, people into actually believing that there really is a church in the Bible. It is a great deception; a horrible error. The English words assembly, congregation, or gathering are correct renderings of the Greek word. There is no justification whatever for the English word church being in the Scripture.”

I know this is a lot to digest. It took me some time as well. If you are unsure please start studying and praying in earnest for the Truth.

Just so everyone knows we still attend a great Church that is doing it right. At least for now they are doing it right. They place emphasis on a relationship with Christ. Not on being a member of the Church.

Are all Church’s Bad? I do not personally think so but make no mistake. It is a man made institution. People get too tied up in their man made buildings. And bad things can come from that.

Here is a quote from the book “So You Don’t Want to Go To Church Anymore” that really struck me.

“Do you remember what Stephen said right before they picked up stones to kill him?” `The Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands.’ That’s when they turned on him. It reminded them of Jesus’ challenge to destroy the temple and he would rebuild it in three days. People can get very touchy about their buildings, especially if they think God dwells in them.”

God Bless all of you in Search of the Truth.
